Purchased 100% WI in 1,023 acres, 60% WI in 360 acres, in North Pinedale anticline region.
Nextraction Energy (US) Inc., a subsidiary of Nextraction Energy Corp., Vancouver, B.C., (Toronto Venture: NE) has acquired additional acreage in the northern region of the Pinedale Anticline in Wyoming at a price of $40 per net mineral acre for a five-year term.
The leasehold area comprises 1,023 acres and is near the company's recently completed Noble 6-24 well. Nextraction now owns the rights to develop 3,574 acres in the North Pinedale Anticline region, the company confirmed in a press release.
Additionally, the company has acquired a 60% interest in 360 acres contiguous to its current acreage position. The lease is expected to become effective in 90 days.
"Recently we completed the Noble #6-24 well and extended production on the Pinedale Anticline to the north. We are optimistic about the opportunity to continue development along the northern crest of this prolific region," says Mark Dolar, president and chief executive. "Adding to our leasehold shows our commitment to the Pinedale project and the development of the assets, which we believe to be highly prospective and potentially valuable to the growth of the Company."
Nextraction targets projects along trend with known reserves that provide lower risk, high return development opportunities in both conventional and unconventional resource projects.
